Overview
A 23,807 SF transformation of an existing building into a full-scale surgery center for HCA Healthcare in Campbell. The build delivered six operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, 40 recovery beds, and a complete clinical support infrastructure.
Scope
Full demolition and gut of the interior, followed by construction of six operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and pre/post-operative areas with 40 recovery beds anchored by a central nursing station. New kitchen, staff lounge, restrooms, locker facilities, and lobby completed the buildout. Significant structural enhancements were required to support new rooftop air handling units, and the existing power and gas infrastructure was upgraded in coordination with PG&E. The project met OSHPD3 regulations and Bay Area Air Quality District guidelines for the generator installation.
Outcome
A fully operational surgery center built to OSHPD3 standards, ready for HCA Healthcare to run clinical operations. The structural upgrades, new utility infrastructure, and regulatory compliance work brought a building that wasn't healthcare-ready up to the standard a major hospital system requires.
