Overview
35,000 SF relocation of an existing R&D facility from San Jose to a new building in Milpitas. The project required relocating sensitive lab equipment and rebuilding the supporting infrastructure to match the original facility's specifications.
Scope
The new facility was refreshed with new carpet, VCT flooring, paint, HVAC modifications, and Title 24 lighting upgrades. An existing rooftop chiller skid was relocated from the San Jose site to the new Milpitas location. New process cooling water supply and return and nitrogen lines were furnished and installed across 20 new labs. Laser tables and curtains were rigged and seismically anchored, and a high shelving system was built out in the warehouse area.
Outcome
A fully operational R&D facility in Milpitas with 20 functioning labs, complete with the relocated chiller infrastructure and new process gas distribution. The fast-tracked schedule preserved the client's research timeline through the move.
