A precise installation of a new AMBR bioreactor unit within Codexis's existing lab in Redwood City. The 800 SF project required modifying the existing ceiling to clear the unit's height requirements and installing dedicated infrastructure to support the equipment.
Scope
The existing ceiling system was raised to accommodate the AMBR unit's clearance requirements. Dedicated electrical connections with shutoff capabilities were installed to ensure safe and reliable operation. New flooring was installed to upgrade the lab's durability and finish, and minor plumbing adjustments supported the updated equipment layout.
Outcome
A precision-installed AMBR bioreactor unit operational within Codexis's existing lab, with infrastructure built to specifically support advanced enzyme engineering and bioprocess development work. The targeted scope upgrades the lab's capabilities without disrupting the surrounding research operations.
